The storyline for the Red Planet is based on a hands-on space academy concept where visitors travel to an orbital space station where they train to become the next generation of space explorers. The experience focuses on preparing for a mission to Mars. The visitor journey encompasses a series of immersion settings, activity areas, and live demonstrations that engage visitors in the science and technology behind spacecraft design, operating a Mars explorer spacecraft, the challenges of living in space, visiting a moon base, and starting a Mars colony. Visitors begin their journey in a themed 4D theater that elevates the excitement level by dramatizing human-kind’s fascination with the cosmos, tracing the history of space exploration, and orienting visitors for their space academy experience.
